The November 7 March of Dimes event was fabulous, and they raised lots of money.</div> <br /><div>Swain kicked off a breast cancer awareness campaign for the Forum by donating $10,000 and getting us all involved in raising money for the cause.</div> <br /><div>NoFo is also paricipating in the Pink Processing program. Seems that childeren did not like having to send Elfie back to Santa on December 25. They wanted him out all year to tell their secrets to. Anyway, the company solved this problem by making another elf. There's a 19" and a 32" to choose from.</div> <br /><div>Evidently, girls have wanted a female elf... maybe boys have wanted their elf to be female too. Who knows? So, the company has made an elf skirt.</div> <br /><div>One simply leaves the skirt out where Elfie can find it. If Elfie dons the skirt, it's a she. How's that for an interesting &amp; easy solution to a complicated problem? </div> <br /><div>We don't think that the Elf Activity Book gets the attention that it should. (If you've been keeping up, you know that West has completely switched his dog, Brock's, diet to real food.) Here's his update:<br /><br />I had absolutely no idea how smelly canned salmon is. Whew!! Mr. Rose realized later that he had misfigured his tip and took the time to write Rasheeda a very nice note and send her the extra tip money.<br />Rasheeda was beaming &amp; it was not the tip that made her smile. We added a tiny bit more time in the kitchen which means I actually have busy work to do while my coffee brews in the morning. My starting point was one whole chicken cooked and deboned. I then mixed in beans, brown rice and carrots served it up with or without yogurt. I went organic and used no spices. The other main dish I tried was hamburger and butterbeans with rice. Grit cakes and oat cookies rounded out this weeks menu.
