We are so pleased to have Cascarone eggs back in. These confetti filled eggs, used for special occasions or celebrations or just for the heck of it, are so much fun. Cascarone eggs are broken over the head of a person to bring them good luck, and they have quite a history.

It's believed that the tradition began in China with an empty egg. Marco Polo is credited with bringing the tradition to Italy where renaissance Italians filled the with perfume. The readition traveled to Spain and then Mexico where the perfume was repalced with paper confetti, thank goodness!

Cascarone eggs are made with real blown & sterilized egg shells which are filled with confetti and hand painted. We have silver & gold eggs, glittered eggs, bumblebees, pigs, strawberries & flowers to choose from. Pick up an egg today and have some good, cheap fun.

Tasting: My Grandma's coffee cake

Reader Reward: 10% off a mixed case of wine. Expires August 5.
