October 15-21

West Riddick reports on his canine culinary adventure. (If you've been keeping up, you know that West has completely switched his dog, Brock's, diet to real food.) Here's his update:

I had absolutely no idea how smelly canned salmon is. Whew!! It's so darn healthy and Brock loves it. This week I made him him salmon cakes and they were a huge hit.

I've learned that to keep the cost down, you must plan ahead. For instance, buying and soaking dry beans is cost effective. They soak up the flavors and bulk up the meals. This keeps me from having to add extra flavors, like parmesan from the green shaker.

I'm ready to delve into recipes from NOFO's Doggie Deli for new ideas. Brock and I both like variety!

Bosses Day is coming up on 10/16. Do you need a little something?

October 1-7

We're too depressed to write this week. We've just seen two stores completely decorated for Christmas..... trees, lights, and all.

They're going to miss all the fun of fall: football, changing leaves, Halloween and the State Fair; and everyone's favorite, Thanksgiving.

Enough, we know that Eckerds had Christmas things out beside Halloween in August, but these stores have wreaths on their doors.... and Jingle Bells playing in the background. Too much. Too soon. Too bad.

Week Three

Another week of clean, healthy living has past for my dog, Brock. His menu has been chicken tenders, peas, carrots, brown rice, yogurt and oat cakes. He was not so impressed by his shrimp dinner, but I was.

On the other end- things are coming out fine. There is an adjustment to the reality as dogfood has additives to keep poop hard and dry. We have not difficulties to report (no messes).

Until later,

Brock & West
